Appointment Booking at surgery
Did you know you can book your appointment online? Using online services makes it more convenient for people at our practice, as there’s no need to make a phone call or visit us. Computer, smartphone or tablet users can make or cancel an appointment at a time that suits them, even when the practice is closed. If you are not already registered for GP online services please attend the surgery with an id proof so we can give you details to book appointments online. Online service also allows you to request medication and view your medical history.
Patients can book appointments up to four weeks in advance by ringing the surgery on 0208 472 0669 between 9am and 5pm.
Face to Face booking:
Patients can book appointments face to face by attending the surgery between 8am and 6:20 pm for up to four weeks in advance.
Same day appointment:
Same day appointments can be booked the following methods
- Log in online at 07:50am to book appointment online. If you have signed up for Internet access, please click the link to book an appointment.
- Telephone the surgery on 0208 472 0669 from 8am – appointments are given out on a first come first served basis.
- Walk in to the surgery before 10:00am – our doors are open from 08:00 am.
Each GP sees up to 10 extra patients on top of the booked appointments daily which are filled on a first come first served basis. Once all these appointments are filled, we may direct you to other services or ask to come back the next day. Patients are requested to wait for their turn if they are added on to the extra list and the waiting time can be anything from 1 – 3 hours. Extra patients are equally distributed between the GP’s working on the day and it may not be always possible to see the GP of your choice.
NEWHAM ACCESS 7 DAYS A WEEK SERVICE
If you are at work or can’t attend an appointment at your practice during the day please see the document below.
If you are too ill to come to the surgery and you require a visit at home, please call the surgery before 10am. Patients are reminded that a night visit should only be requested in an emergency, which cannot wait until the next surgery. Home visits take up much more of a doctor’s time than a consultation in the surgery, so if you are mobile please come into the surgery to be seen.
If you have an appointment at the Surgery it is important that you arrive on time. You can self-check in by using the touch screen in reception. If you are late by more than 10 minutes for an appointment the practice has the right to ask you to reschedule your appointment. Please do not ask the receptionist if you can be seen as this can cause unnecessary problems.
If you are unable to keep an appointment you must contact the surgery on 0208 472 0669 to cancel the appointment at least 15minutes before your appointment time. If you fail to attend three appointments and do not cancel the appointments, you will be removed from the surgery list. You will receive a letter from the Health Authority informing that you will be removed from the Practice list, which means you will no longer be registered at the Practice.
