Repeat prescriptions

Did you know you can request your repeat prescription online? The easiest, safest and quickest way to order your repeat prescription is online. There is no need to make a phone call or visit us; instead computer, smartphone or tablet users can request repeat prescriptions anywhere – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also check what medication you should be taking and when. If you are not already registered for GP online services please let a member of the practice team know you would like to use this service.

Please attend the surgery with proof of id, so we can provide you with details for online access. Once registered you can request your medications online and by nominating your choice of pharmacy the prescription can be sent directly to the pharmacy and you can collect it from the pharmacy. Please allow two working days for your prescription to be processed. For patients who have requested online internet booking he/she may have the opportunity to request their repeat prescriptions online.

Where the above is not possible, please leave your request for a repeat prescription in the box under the television in the reception area, drop it into the surgery letter box if the surgery is closed or post it to the surgery. Tick the items you need on the right-hand section of your previous prescription form. Your prescription will be ready for collection after two working days. If you prefer, we can post it back to you (you will need to provide a stamped, addressed envelope).

If you cannot collect the prescription yourself, or arrange for someone to do so for you you can contact the Pharmacist and arrange for them to collect your prescription on your behalf.

New patients please note: When you require a “repeat ” of the medication given to you by your previous GP, please make an appointment with your new Doctor here in the first instance. Bring with you any bottles or cartons which contain your current treatment, so that the Doctor knows exactly what you are taking and can discuss these with you if necessary.

Prescriptions can be collected during the surgery opening hours.

We are keen to ensure that patients with ongoing medical problems are monitored regularly. If the date for your next review with a doctor has passed you will be asked to make an appointment.
